The purpose of this committee is to support the alignment of the district’s work toward reaching the Every Student Succeeds Act and the World’s Best Workforce goals:

  • All children are ready for school (Kindergarten Readiness);
  • All third-graders can read at grade level;
  • All racial and economic achievement gaps between students are closed;
  • All students are ready for career and college; and
  • All students graduate from high school.

The committee will support the district’s youngest learners by engaging in information gathering, discussion, exploration and research of best practices in early learning programming. Committee members will learn from each other while partnering in the critical work of ensuring all our students are career and college ready.
