Special Education Advisory Council

The role of the Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is to provide input on special education issues within the District. Its purpose is to advise and advocate, not to decide policy.

The Robbinsdale Area Schools Special Education Advisory Council continues to seek parent participants. Please consider joining SEAC to share your unique perspective and insight as a parent of a student receiving special education services, and assist the school district in implementing strategies for working effectively with families and improving outcomes for children.

The purpose of Robbinsdale Area Schools' Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is to:

  • Advocate for high quality special education programs and services
  • Advise the school district regarding special education issues
  • Assist the Directors of Special Education in identifying needs
  • Encourage and facilitate communication and mutual support among family, school, and community.

SEAC members include parents of children with special needs, community members, students and staff members. SEAC meets as scheduled throughout the school year. Meetings are open to parents and community members.
