Great Start Preschooler Tiger Vongsoury is a remarkable example of what a child can accomplish through the Robbinsdale Area Schools’ Early Childhood Family Education, Family Literacy and Great Start Preschool programs.

Tiger came into the Great Start at Meadow Lake Elementary ready to learn and grow. He's not the only one who has benefited from what the Robbinsdale district has to offer.

Chintana Vongsoury, Tiger’s mother, has been enrolled in classes since 2008. Chintana has her own amazing student record with our district. She started in a level 1 ESL class in 2008, and made the leap from the ESL coursework to the first level of the GED program in 2014. She has taken Career Search and Computer Skills coursework, Distance Learning courses, and Medical Terminology courses. Most recently, Chintana attended an ESL class at Meadow Lake.

Now, because of his enjoyment of and exposure to earning at an early age, Tiger will go into kindergarten ready to perform and learn. His teachers describe him as an engaged and confident thinker.

“I cannot wait to see what he will do next in school and in the world,” said teacher Sonja Jacobsen. “I wish every teacher could experience a student like Tiger. Every day, I look forward to what he will show me.”

Tiger and Chinana are Robbinsdale. At Robbinsdale Area Schools, we value the differences that make all of our students unique. We approach our work with individual focus on each and every student’s infinite potential.

At Robbinsdale Area Schools, we invite all students to make their mark. Just like Tiger and Chintana. We are Robbinsdale Remarkable. #RASRemarkable
