AHS ATHLETICS AND ACTIVITIES GUIDE - Click Here
FALL SPORTS: Fall sports will begin on Monday, August 13th. We will begin taking registrations on August 1st. Athletes must have the following responsibilities taken care of to attend practice on the first day:
1.) Complete registration forms with both parent/student signatures.
2.) Have a current physical on file (within the last 3 years). Freshmen will need to provide a hard copy of their current physical.
3.) Payment of $210. Make checks payable to Armstrong High School.
4.) Middle School students must complete and get parent and principal signatures on the middle school participation form.
Stop in the athletic office for the necessary forms or click on the link, "Registration Info - Athletics" under the "Activities/Athletics" drop down menu and download the forms.
Listed below is specific information on all our fall sports for first day and location of practices. You can also contact the head coach directly by going to the 'coaches/advisor link' and click on the head coaches name for an email address.
Cheerleading: August 20, 21, 22, 23, 27 and 29 - (6:30-9:30pm) in the main gym.
Cross Country: Summer: Mon-Sat. (8-9:30am). August 13-17 - (8:00am) by the tennis courts at AHS.
Football: August 13th -17 - 9th grade: (9:00-noon). 12th-10th grade: (2:30-8:30pm) at AHS stadium.
Soccer (Boys): Captains: Aug.6-8 (10:00-11:30am). Aug. 13 -17(7-8:30 am AND 4-6pm) at Zachary Park.
Soccer (Girls): Captains- Aug. 6-10 (9-11am) at Zachary Elem. Aug. 13 17- (9-11am) at Sonnesyn Elem.
Swimming (Girls): Captains: Aug. 6-10 (9:30-11) at AHS JV field. Aug. 13-17:(6:30-8am) for returners, (3:30-5:30pm) for everyone at PMS pool.
Tennis (Girls): Captains: Aug. 6-10 (9:30-11 am). August 13 - 17 (9:30-11:30 drills and 12:30-3 challenges) at AHS tennis courts.
Volleyball (Girls):Captains - Aug. 6-9 (10-noon) at AHS gym. Aug. 13 17 -Var/JV/B: (9-2:00pm). 9th grade-(10-noon) at AHS gym.
Fall Dance (Club): Aug. 2, 7 and 9 (12:30-4). Aug. 13 (2:30-5:30) at AHS gym.
We offer a Student Athletic Pass that will be good for all home events for the entire school year (except for city ice arenas) for $35.00. Bring your student ID with you to receive the pass. We also offer a Family Pass for $100.00 that has 25 punches on the card. There is not an expiration on this card but can only be used at Armstrong home events and excludes the ice arenas. Stop by the athletic office for more information.
