There are two divisions for adapted floor hockey -- physical impairment (PI) and cognitive impairment (CI). The goal of the adapted floor hockey team team is to give players that have a physical or cognitive disabilities an opportunity to participate and experience what it is like to be on a varsity team, and compete with other schools with players that have similar disabilities. The emphasis of the season is having fun with boys and girls from various schools in the area and walking away with a feeling that "I’m glad I did this."
Armstrong High School hosts the PI team, and Cooper High School hosts the CI team. Please note when looking at the schedule for games and practices.
All athletes must have a condition/disability which impacts motor function or otherwise impacts their ability to safely play non-adapted inter-scholastic school sports. Please register through your schools athletic office. A reminder that a sports physical has to be on file in the athletic office to participate. Physicals are good for three years.
