Dance Team

Armstrong Dance Team (ADT) is comprised of two dance teams; Fall Performance Dance Team which is a non-competitive team that performs at school and community events; and Winter Competition Dance Team, which is a highly competitive sport at Armstrong High School where dancers utilize technique, endurance, and performance ability in two routines: high-kick and jazz. Many dancers participate in both seasons.

Our winter competitive team is preparing for its 11th season since the program was re-started in 2012. What started as a hope and dream with only ten dancers is now becoming a fast-developing program of 29 dancers, with both Varsity and Junior Varsity Jazz and High Kick teams.? ADT is a member of the Northwest Suburban Conference.

Winter dance team members utilize technique, endurance, and performance ability in two routines: high kick and jazz. Winter dance team is comprised of students in grades 7-8 attending Plymouth or Sandburg Middle Schools and students in grades 9-12 attending Armstrong High School. Winter dance season begins in October and ends in early February.
