Armstrong to shift to distance learning Jan. 6-17

Dear Armstrong High School families,

Due to the current number of positive and symptomatic COVID cases among students and staff at our school, we're going to be shifting to distance learning Thursday, Jan. 6, through Monday, Jan. 17. Students will return to in-person learning on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

In-person learning is still scheduled for tomorrow, Jan. 5. As we prepare for the transition to distance learning, families who are more comfortable keeping their students home can do so. Those students will participate in asynchronous e-learning, and teachers will post assignments for the day in Schoology.

At this time, athletics and activities will continue as scheduled, and activity buses will run during this time. Reminder: any spectators who attend athletic events and activities must wear a mask inside our building.

Students who receive special services (e.g. Special education, EL) will receive additional information from service providers.

Please look for additional details about this move to distance learning on Wednesday, Jan. 5 from Principal Erick Norby.

For families with students who have not exhibited symptoms or tested positive, free at-home COVID tests are available from the nurse's office. In the event your student shows symptoms or tests positive, we encourage you to fill out our COVID reporting form, which can be accessed on the district website. For additional information, please review the district's COVID exposure document.

Thank you for your partnership.
