18 Rdale students complete Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training

With the knowledge and skills required to provide emergency medical care, 11 Armstrong High School (AHS) students and seven Cooper High School (CHS) students are now graduates of the Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program.

Each of these students completed a semester-long course on anatomy, patient assessment, life-saving techniques, and more, culminating in passing the EMR and CPR certification. Through this course, they learned how to manage patient care at the scene of a medical or trauma emergency until ambulance personnel arrive.

Growing their practical skills through simulations and field experience opportunities, these students are stepping up and learning how to save lives.

Five CHS students are continuing their studies in this field as they progress to the Emergency Medical Technician course in the spring semester.
