Four student-athletes — two from Armstrong High School and two from Cooper High School — have been recognized by their coaches and teachers for their hard work.
Sarahya College from Armstrong High School (AHS) and Folake Olusesi from Cooper High School (CHS) have been selected as their school’s 2026 Athena Award winners. The award is given annually to one senior female who has distinguished herself in athletics and academics.
Eli Kuempel (AHS) and Tacarie Siner (CHS) have been chosen as the 2026 Apollo Award recipients. The annual award goes to a senior male athlete who has excelled in athletics and in the classroom.
The Athena and Apollo award recipients will be recognized at their school during the academic awards ceremony and at the respective award banquets.
