Welcome to Armstrong High School - Home of the Falcons!

We are so glad you are a part of the Armstrong community!  We have a great school with students who work hard in our school community and take care of each other. We have a lot of things to be excited and proud of and I’d like to share a few of the “A’s” at Armstrong.

Academics

Besides a wide variety of rigorous coursework and electives, we have excellent academic and outstanding enhancement opportunities. From ACT prep coursework and workshops, to college possible, and AVID.Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is an academic support program that prepares students, especially those who will be the first in their family to attend college, to attend and succeed in college. There are so many opportunities for students to accelerate their own personalized learning.

Advanced Placement (AP)

The Advanced Placement (AP) program at Armstrong is one of the largest AP programs in the state of Minnesota, offering AP courses in English, social studies, science, math, global language, art and music. AP is a voluntary program that offers students an opportunity to take one or more college-level courses while still in high school.

Arts

The arts are a central part of Armstrong. Students have opportunities to foster life-long interest and self-expression in the arts through the courses in drama, vocal and instrumental music, creative writing and the visual arts.

Activities

At Armstrong, there are more than 75 school sponsored teams, clubs, performing and fine arts activities and sports. Armstrong’s school sports teams compete in the Northwest Suburban Conference. In addition to sports, Armstrong offers activities and clubs including: musicals, plays, choir, band (including marching and jazz bands), orchestra, yearbook, newspaper, math team, speech, debate, National Honor Society, cultural leadership council, global language clubs, trap shooting, cycle club, and many other club and intramural sports.
