Students of the Month

Armstrong High School Student of the Month Program celebrates and recognizes students achievements by sustaining a culture of learning that not only values academics success but elevates awareness of student contribution to the AHS community. Students who achieve superior performance or demonstrate significant progress in academics, citizenship, leadership, or behavioral success. Students are selected by teachers and staff members and based on the identified criteria.

This successful program provides staff an opportunity to not only honor high achievement but also to recognize and encourage students who are demonstrating effort and making significant progress in other areas.

Criteria for nominating a student includes:

• Significant progress in the classroom
• Marked improvement in grades
• Outstanding grades
• Leadership
• Notable consideration toward others
• Outstanding attitude/character
• Community involvement/service
• Personal development
• Individual achievement
