AHS Testing DatesTesting Information

The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) is mandated by the state of Minnesota. This assessment helps schools and districts measure student progress toward the state's academic standards. MCAs are important at AHS as they help our teachers and staff measure our students' progress as they continue through AHS academic program. ACCESS Testing for ELL Students

Federal and state laws require that English language learners (ELL) students be assessed annually to measure their proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking English, as well as the progress they are making in learning English. In fulfillment of these laws, ELL students in Minnesota are required to participate in ACCESS for ELLs tests.  ACCESS is based on the WIDA (World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment) English Language Development standards.
